WAITANGI 2024

"We will stand on the pou of Te Tinorangatiratanga me te kotahitanga, we will not let you deny our rights" (A.Sykes, 2024).

This was the warming feeling of kotahitanga and a proud representation of  Tinorangatiratanga that flooded Waitangi this year. We came hard and strong as we stood in unity against the allegations of changing Te Tiriti o Waitangi by the government. The photo below is a small snippet of the masses that arrived to stand in solidarity.

Ka Whawhai tonu mātou, ake ake ake!

 TOITŪ TE TIRITI ! 

We never ceded sovereignty to the Crown. We never have and we never will.
This is a message that has flooded the lands of Aotearoa for generations and we are still here sending these same messages to the crown today.
Recent times have shown that Māori stand united, this time through hikoi that were activated throughout the country. Anei ngā pikitia e whakahua i te kotahitanga o te iwi Māori. Toitū te Tiriti, Toitū te whenua, Toitū tātou te iwi Māori!

Kua haukina ngā tatau o te whare hou nei, he mea tuatahi tēnei mo te whanau o Ake Ake Ake ēngari kei kōnei mātou ki te whakatinanatia i ngā wawata ō rātou mā.
Ko te kaupapa tuatahi o te whare nei, he whare manaaki i ngā whakaaro o ngā mokopuna. Ko te hiahia ki ū mai ngā mokopuna ki te ako.
